Director Carolina Alvarez was born in Ecuador, South-America and moved to the US in the year 2000. She earned a Bachelors Degree in Marketing in her hometown of Guayaquil, and worked in the advertising field for over a decade.
Mrs. Alvarez explains, "The idea of Spanish Train came through the need of ensuring our firstborn's Spanish learning. We all know how valuable it is to speak more than one language and considering the fact that Nicolás had a short period of time before he enters kindergarten —where his education will be entirely in English—it was imperative for our family that he received formal training in the Spanish language. It was also perfect timing since at this age (2) children are so aware of and very interested in communicating and in learning words, numbers, letters, colors, etc."
She continues, "We immediately knew that the Spanish training program we put together for our children would also be a great thing for other children. We often hear comments from parents of other toddlers who wish their children could learn Spanish".
Carolina's love for children and her joyful spirit made this venture an easy one to embark upon. She has incorporated some of her talents (guitar playing, singing, entertaining) into the classroom for the enrichment of your toddler.
Technical Lead Joe Alvarez is a Cuban-American who has been bilingual all his life. He has a degree in Architecture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and has been working in the IT field since 1991.

We are CPR certified. Our background check was done by the Catholic Dioceses of Austin. We have also attended the workshop Protecting God’s Children offered to all Catholics working with children in Austin.
